LEWISTON – Richard Wagner, Democratic candidate for House District 73, announced the formation of his campaign committee.
Lillian Lafontaine O’Brien, retiring representative for District 73, has been advising Wagner, as have former legislators Gerry Bouffard of Bushey Circle and Paul Gauvreau of Tampa Street.
Bette J. Swett-Thibeault will handle publicity for the campaign, David Desjardins is Wagner’s liaison to the House Democratic Campaign Committee, William Clifford, Jr., is treasurer and Wagner’s wife, Lois, a former member of Sen. Peggy Rotundo’s campaign committee, coordinates the Wagner campaign.
Wagner is a retired educator, who has lived in Lewiston for the past 35 years. The Wagners have four children, three grandchildren and reside on Mountain Avenue. His legislative priorities are to promote a fairer tax system, improved health coverage, especially for seniors, and a high-quality educational system.
