BATH – The Lewiston-Auburn Dodgers captured the Men’s Senior 45 Woods Baseball League playoff championship Sunday by defeating the Bath Giants 9-4 at Morse High School.

In the semifinals Saturday, the Dodgers edged the Bath Braves 3-2 as Ralph Eugley cracked 3 hits. Brian Stowell was the winning hurler with Dick Hill taking the loss.

That vaulted the Dodgers into the championship round against the Bath Giants. Winning pitcher Randy Chick aided his cause with 3 hits at the plate. Lou Morin ripped 2 doubles. Joe Baumer suffered the mound loss.

The Dodgers finished fourth during the regular season but came on strong in the playofffs thanks to good defense and fine pitching.
