PARIS – The Town of Paris will host a workshop on stormwater runoff, non-point source pollution and water resources on Thursday, Sept. 28.

LaMarr Cannon, of Maine Non-point Education for Municipal Officials, will discuss non-point source pollution and increased flows due to stormwater, the relationship between land use, natural resource protection and water quality, and planning and site design options to reduce the impacts from development.

The presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Paris Fire Station, 137 Western Ave., South Paris. Municipal officials from area towns are invited and the public is encouraged to attend.

Maine NEMO is an educational program for land use decision-makers that provides technical assistance to communities addressing natural resources and land use development by focusing on land use, water quality and community character.
