CASTINE (AP) – Greg Borsari ran for three touchdowns while rushing for 72 yards and passing for 104 more to lead Bridgewater State College past Maine Maritime 28-21 on Saturday.

Maine Maritime (1-2, 0-1 New England Football Conference) scored first when Brandon Hamilton ran in from the 1-yard line in the first quarter.

Bridgewater State (2-1, 1-0) tied the score on Matt Maroon’s 31-yard run with 58 seconds left in the quarter. Borsari scored a 29-yard touchdown run 41 seconds later to give Bridgewater State the lead for good.

Bruce Burley led Bridgewater State with 111 yards on 21 rushes, and Chris Joyce caught three passes for 47 yards.

For Maine Maritime, Hamilton gained 122 yards on 35 carries while throwing for 42 yards while going just 2-of-11 with two interceptions.

Hamilton scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to end the scoring.
