HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Gennaro Leo ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Trinity beat Colby 27-10 and extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 31 games.

Leo opened the scoring with a 12-yard run less than three minutes into the game, and closed it with a 1-yard run with 2:33 left in the final quarter.

In between, quarterback Eric McGrath threw for two touchdowns, including a 74-yard strike to wide receiver Jeff Pratt on the first play of the second half that gave the Bantams a 20-7 lead.

McGrath, in his first start, completed 10 of 19 passes for 155 yards.

Nose guard Jeff Carpenter helped secure the win, intercepting a tipped ball at the line of scrimmage with one hand to end a Colby drive in the fourth quarter.

Justin Smith threw for 83 yards and a touchdown for Colby (0-1). He hit wide receiver Andrew Carey for a 26-yard score in the first quarter. Chris Bagshaw added 79 yards rushing for the White Mules.
