DIXFIELD – Holden and Virginia Lovejoy of Dixfield recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Party hosts were a son and his wife, Bill and Rita Lovejoy and the gathering was held at a Jay restaurant. Bill Lovejoy was the toastmaster.

Mr. Lovejoy and the former Virginia Nottage were married on Aug. 25, 1946, at the Baptist Congregational Church in Farmington.

The couple has two sons, Bill Lovejoy and David Lovejoy, who is deceased. Their grandchildren are Heather, Joshua, Michelle, Jason, William, Gabe and Melissa.

Mrs. Lovejoy was a homemaker and Mr. Lovejoy worked at Oxford Paper Co. for 30 years.
