NORWAY – A Norway/Paris Lions Club membership drive will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Oxford Solid Waste Transfer Station, Skeetfield Road, Oxford, and the Norway/Paris Solid Waste Transfer Station, Brown Road.

There will be two members from the Lions Club at each location handing out information as well as an invitation to a dinner meeting in South Paris on Monday, Oct. 16, to hear a presentation on Lionism.

Anyone interested in becoming a member should look for a member wearing a yellow vest. Members will ask for a name and phone number to follow up with a call. The club will need an approximate count for the dinner in order to prepare the food.

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization, with nearly 1.35 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs in 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
