LIVERMORE FALLS – An installation ceremony was conducted by Maxine Rusakoff of Skowhegan at a recent meeting of the Livermore Falls Women’s Club. Lucille Lavoie was installed as the new president for a two-year term.

The new vice president is Jackie Deschaies; new secretary, Gail Slade; and remaining as treasurer, Dorothy Bangs.

Lavoie volunteers many hours a week at the Livermore Public Library and Norlands Living History Center.

“I am inspired by the commitment of my fellow club women and have made many friends through this organization,” she said. The club is well known for its support of local, state and national charities. Support is given financially and through the hours of individual volunteerism by its members.

In her new position Lavoie will guide the club as it participates in many local programs and projects. Some of the projects have been established by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in conjunction with the Maine Federation of Women’s Clubs.

The mission of the club encourages volunteerism to enhance community and personal enrichment.
