MONMOUTH – Mark and Susan Poole of Monmouth are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Laurel Poole of Atlanta, Ga., to Mark Whitmer of Atlanta, Ga., son of Jim and Sandy Whitmer of Mendota, Ill.
Miss Poole is a 1998 graduate of Monmouth Academy and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. She received her master’s degree from Emory University in 2004 and is currently employed as a physician assistant, specializing in dermatology.
Mr. Whitmer is a 1994 graduate of Mendota High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in 1999. He received his master’s degree from Emory University in 2004 and is currently employed as a physician assistant, specializing in emergency medicine.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 15 at the Riviera Maya, Mexico El Dorado Resort.
