LEWISTON – Molly Wagner scored back-to-back goals as Bates routed Endicott 5-0 in women’s college soccer action Monday.

Wagner’s first goal was a hard shot off a pass from Julie Brown. She made the game 2-0 within the first three minutes of the second half after knocking in a rebound. Jessie Gargiulo, Kim Alexander, and Jen Marino also scored for the Bobcats. Mia Lidofsky made five saves and shared the shutout with Nini Spalding.

Men’s soccer

Bowdoin 2, Gordon 0

BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College men’s soccer team controlled the pace of play and scored a pair of second-half goals in a 2-0 victory over Gordon College.

Matt Ostrup lofted the ball from midfield over the Gordan defense to Brendan Egan, who knocked the ball in for the first Polar Bear (7-2-0) goal.

Nick Figueiredo ripped a shot that deflected off a defender and into the corner of the goal for the 2-0 advantage.

Nathan Lovitz made two saves to earn his fifth shutout of the year.

Chris Tanga made eight saves in the Scots (4-4-3) effort.

Field Hockey

Maine 1, Cornell 0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kristen Healy scored the lone goal of the game as the University of Maine field hockey team downed Cornell 1-0 on Monday afternoon.

Healy notched the game-winner at 38:02 off a penalty corner. Maygan Cassarino made 14 saves in the Black Bear (5-8) shutout victory.

Lizzie Goldblatt made two saves in the Cornell (4-5) effort. Cornell outshot Maine 21-5 in the game.

New England College 4, Univ. of New England 1

BIDDEFORD – Amanda Lester tallied a pair of goals as New England College posted a 4-1 win over the University of New England in college field hockey action.

Lori Zaniboni netted the first goal for NEC off a feed from Khatianna Evans 1:56 into the contest. Brittney Vogrin rounded out the scoring for the Pilgrims (11-2).

Lisa Baillargeron convered a pass from Nicole Mace to tally the lone Nor’easters (5-4) goal.

Women’s Soccer

Bates 5, Endicott 0
