TORONTO (AP) – Chris Bosh had 22 points in three quarters and Spanish forward Jorge Garbajosa scored six of his 18 points in overtime to lead the new-look Toronto Raptors to a 118-112 victory over the Boston Celtics in a preseason game on Wednesday night.

Garbajosa and point guard Jose Calderon, who led Spain to its first world championship in September, scored 10 of Toronto’s 16 points in the extra five minutes. Toronto used nine new players, including Andrea Bargnani – the first European ever taken as the overall No. 1 draft pick. The native of Italy went 4-for-13 from the field and scored 13 points.

Rookie Rajon Rondo scored 29 points and Paul Pierce had 23 in three quarters for the Celtics, who won in Cleveland on Tuesday night.

Rondo, the 21st pick in the draft, sent the game into overtime with an off-balance 3-pointer as time expired.

But Garbajosa made consecutive 3-pointers in the overtime and Calderon made two layups to give Toronto a 112-107 lead.

Toronto won despite committing 38 turnovers, eight by point guard T.J. Ford, who was acquired from Milwaukee in the offseason.

Boston’s Wally Szcerbiak (sore knee), Theo Ratliff (sore back) and Dwayne Jones (sore back) didn’t play.
