LEWISTON – The art work of Sonia J. Woodrum of Sabattus will be featured during October by the Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center.

Woodrum is originally from Maine, but, as her husband was career Air Force, they didn’t settle in Sabattus until he retired. She is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. They have two children and two grandchildren.

Woodrum attended schools in Maine, Florida, New Jersey and Massachusetts, graduating from Lewiston High School. She graduated with an associate’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Maine at Augusta.

Oil painting is her favorite medium; however, she also enjoys doing watercolors and pastels. She has participated in area art exhibits, craft shows and sidewalk art shows. Woodrum studies under Diane Amos in Greene.

The Woman’s Hospital Association supports Central Maine Medical Center and its patients.
