The Taxpayer Bill of Rights should be called the Taxpayer Bill of Wrongs. The idea behind TABOR comes from Libertarian Howard Rich, a real estate magnate from New York City. A PBS program exposed the Rich/TABOR connection.

We should protect our representative democracy from rule by a minority. This “wolf in sheep’s clothing” will harm public schools, universities and community colleges, the elderly and all publicly funded community services.

Lewiston School Superintendent Leon Levesque said that if TABOR had been in effect this year, the schools would have lost $1 million. I will be voting no on Question 1.
