SOUTH HIRAM – Riley O’Donnell and Blais Whitney scored goals during a 10-minutes span in the second half to lift Sacopee Valley to a 2-0 victory over Winthrop.

O’Donnell’s goal was unassisted at 28:37 on an open shot that hit the back of the net. Whitney pushed the score to 2-0 at 18:22 after picking up the deflected Winthrop ball and knocking it in. Evan Ouellette needed to make only seven saves to preserve the shutout.

Winthrop keeper Mike Gingras was aggressive in goal, making key saves in the first half to keep the contest scoreless into the break. Gingras registered 18 saves.

Traip 5, Livermore Falls 0

KITTERY – Matt Downs netted a hat trick as Traip blanked Livermore Falls 5-0 in a Western Class C boys’ soccer prelim game played Wednesday.

Tom Roots and Trevor Higgins each added a goal apiece for Traip (10-5). Connor Kuehl needed to make only one save to preserve the win.

Marcus Ryder registered 10 saves for the Andies (7-6-2).

Hebron 3, Tilton 2

HEBRON – Sasha Romanenko tallied back to back goals in the first half to lead Hebron to a 3-2 win over Tilton in a boys’ soccer contest held Wednesday.

Josh Taylor added a goal in the first half for Hebron as well. Austin Grande and Josh Taylor each earned an assist in the win. Dima Naida and Will Sorkin shared duties in goal, makine two and five saves, respectively.

Tiltons’ goals were netted by Dan Organ in the first half, and Pavel Stookey in the second.
