PORTLAND (AP) – Kent Huskins scored his first goal of the season with 1:16 left on the clock, leading the Portland Pirates to their fourth straight win by beating the Lowell Devils 3-2 Friday in the American Hockey League.

Nicklas Bergfors scored a goal and added an assist for the Devils.

After a scoreless first period, the teams were tied 1-1 at the close of the second. Bergfors connected for Lowell (1-3-0-0) on the power play at 10:07 and Aaron Rome answered for Portland (4-0-0-1) at 16:39.

Bjorn Melin sent the Pirates ahead at 9:31 of the third period, but Stephen Gionta tied it again at 15:04.

With a two-man power play advantage, Huskins stepped up from the blue line to drill the game-winner past Lowell goalie Frank Doyle at 18:44.

Portland goalie Mike Wall made 19 saves to notch his third win of the season.
