Legion meeting

LISBON – Coombs Mountfort American Legion Post and Unit 158 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the post home on Webster Street.

Farmers’ market

LEWISTON – Lewiston Farmers’ Market will close Tuesday, Oct. 24. It will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. in Kennedy Park at the corner of Bates and Pine streets for the final time this season. The market will return next year.

Kiwanis speaker

LEWISTON – Gubernatorial Candidate Pat Lemarche will be the featured speaker at the Auburn Lewiston Kiwanis Club luncheon at noon Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Ramada Inn Conference Center.

Marines to meet

AUBURN – The Marine Corps, Central Maine Detachment, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the New Auburn American Legion Post 153, 71 South Main St., New Auburn.

Plans will be made for the Marine Corps birthday celebration. Members and any Marine interested are invited. Marines serving in Iraq will also be discussed. For more information, call Raymond Lemieux, commandant, at 784-0656.
