FREEPORT – The Maine Association of Mortgage Brokers will host Douglas Smith, a nationally acclaimed performance consultant and motivational coach, as its keynote speaker for the 2006 Maine Mortgage Professional Expo. The Expo is the largest annual financial services industry event to be held in Maine and will be held at the Freeport Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Smith is the author of “Climbing the Ladder of Success: 19 Valuable Lessons for Increasing your Performance and Your Results.” He also is the founder of Douglas Smith and Associates, a training, coaching and performance consulting firm specializing in the mortgage and banking industry.

The Maine Mortgage Professional Expo is the largest event of its kind in Maine, and is the second annual offering of the Maine Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB). The Maine Association of Mortgage Brokers represents the state mortgage brokerage industry, and is the leading Maine trade group to promote financial education for mortgage originators and to endorse and monitor sound legislative action.
