LEWISTON – The Trinity Jubilee Center’s Care Walk 2006 will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Kennedy Park. Hannaford Supermarkets of Lewiston-Auburn will serve as the major sponsor. Other sponsors include Androscoggin Bank, Emerson Toyota, Mechanics Savings Bank and Subway Restaurants.

Prizes for top fundraisers will consist of a pair of tickets to a New England Patriots game, a pair of tickets to a Boston Bruins game and a duffle bag filled with office supplies.

The Patriots tickets, donated by a friend of the Jubilee Center, are located in the 14th row and are for the Sunday, Dec. 17, game at 1 p.m. against Houston. The Bruins tickets, courtesy of the New England Sports Network, are for the Thursday, Dec. 7, game against Toronto at 7 p.m. and are situated in the second row behind the Bruins bench. The duffle bag, a large, nylon, waterproof bag filled with desktop office supplies and travel accessories, was donated by Oxford Networks.

Maineiacs tickets and gift certificates to Subway restaurants and Hannaford Supermarkets will be drawn throughout the day. Maineiacs mascot Lewy is scheduled to make an appearance during the walk. All walkers will receive goody bags; walkers collecting $20 or more will receive a Care Walk 2006 T-shirt.

Care Walk 2006, a rain or shine event, will benefit the Jubilee Center, a nonprofit soup kitchen and emergency food pantry dedicated to advocacy for those in need in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and participants can walk laps between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Registration cards are still available at all Subway restaurants in Lewiston-Auburn or by contacting event planner Dell Caron Gray at Trinity Jubilee Center, 782-5700 or jubilmin@gwi.net.
