Traffic on Auburn’s Center Street had to be rerouted for about an hour around 5 p.m. Wednesday, due to an accident near K & R Auto. According to Auburn Police officer Andrew Feeney, a vehicle driven by Natalie Stockbridge, 32, of Wayne was struck broadside as it pulled across the northbound lane from a parking area opposite K & R Auto. The second vehicle was driven by Aaron Gordon, 22, of Chesterville, who was headed north. Stockbridge and Gordon both complained of neck pain at the scene, and were taken to Central Maine Medical Center where they were treated and released. Stockbridge’s 2003 Alero and Gordon’s 1997 Cirus were both totaled, according to Feeney.
