DIXFIELD – Dirigo High School English teacher Charles Nielsen took an indefinite leave of absence over the Labor Day weekend but returned to the district in early October. SAD 21 Superintendent Thomas Ward said Thursday that Nielsen came back much sooner than expected, much to the delight of students and staff. A story on Saturday’s A1 indicated he was still on leave.
