ORONO (AP) – Michel Leveille scored two goals for Maine on Friday, beating UMass-Lowell 4-1.

After playing to a 0-0 stalemate in the first period, Leveille kicked off the scoring in the second period at 14:55 on a well-placed wrist shot.

Keenan Hopson and Simon Danis-Pepin also scored goals for Maine in the second period.

Trailing 3-0 entering the third period, the River Hawks got on the scoreboard at 18:51 after Jason Bergeron scored with Maine’s Ben Bishop out of net.

Leveille concluded the scoring with 7:13 to go in the third period on a low rebound.

Bishop picked up 22 saves, while UMass-Lowell’s Carter Hutton had 30.
