LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Nov. 20 with 42 members and one guest, Roland Tardif, present. Prior to the meeting, members had a Thanksgiving meal. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

Mary Groleau led in singing “We Gather Together” in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Ernie Bickford and Joan Knapp were welcomed back.

The sick list included Lorraine Ellingwood, Emile Richards, Christine Harlow and Veronica Blanchard. It was also reported that Walter Ellingwood had sustained a fall but was recovering.

Couture reminded members about the Thanksgiving meal served by the Scottish Rite Masons at the Mt. Blue High School cafeteria on Thanksgiving Day.

A Christmas party will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, and members are requested to bring a gift to be exchanged. Janice Sweeney will cater the Christmas meal.

The 50-50 was won by Carmen Moreau and two donated items were won by Betty Green and Shirley Toncer. The meeting was adjourned, after which beano and other card games were played.
