RANDOLPH CTR., VERMONT – Garrett Crawfors tallied a game-high 15 points to lead Vermont Tech to a narrow 69-66 win over the University of Maine at Augusta in men’s basketball action Sunday. James Mayo poured in 13 points to lead UMA (3-6), while Tyler Norris added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Clark Agnew added 14 for Vermont Tech (9-2).

UMFK 85, Thomas 79

WATERVILLE – Rytis Kriunas scored 25 points to lead the University of Maine at Fort Kent to an 85-79 win over Thomas College.

Scott Peters had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Thomas.

Reggie Jett gave out seven assists to go along with his 15 points and two steals.

Despite a 19 point, seven rebound, and five assist performance from sophomore Scott Peters, Thomas College came up short in the championship game of the 2006 Terrier Tip-Off, losing to the University of Maine at Fort-Kent 85-79. Freshman Darrel Alexander helped to pace the Terriers with 20 points and two rebounds, while Adam Blodgett pitched in with 17 points and four rebounds. Reggie Jett gave out seven assists to go along with his 15 points and two steals.

Tournament Most Valuable Player Rytis Kriunas had 25 points and three rebounds to lead UMFK.

UMPI 83, Unity 79

WATERVILLE – In the consolation game of the Terrier Tip-Off, the University of Maine at Presque-Isle defeated Unity College by a score of 83-79.

UMPI was led by Rodney Montgomery’s 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Mike Latchford pitched in with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Unity College was led by Jared Erskine’s 23 points and 14 rebounds.
