FARMINGTON – The Farmington Historical Society has completed its second annual wreath sale to benefit the restoration of the Old North Church. Event Chairwoman Taffy Davis reported that this year’s sales surpassed last year’s.

Remaining wreaths from the Chester Greenwood sale day are available to anyone who makes a $10 or more donation to the Old North Church Restoration Fund – Farmington Historical Society in the name of a veteran.

Wreaths can be used as a gift to a living veteran or used to decorate a veteran’s burial plot. Wreaths can be obtained at Heirlooms of Tomorrow, 710 Wilton Road, as long as the supply remains.

Last year’s efforts paid for an architectural study of the Old North Church and the outlining of a plan for restoration. Expected cost is between $400,000 and $500,000 to make this historic structure useable by the community once again.
