BOSTON – John A. Sullivan, 78, of Boston, Mass., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
He was born in Berlin, N.H. He had lived in New Hampshire for many years before moving to Boston 50 years ago. He was a graduate of New England College in Henniker, N.H., and was employed as a manager for John Hancock Life Insurance Co. in Boston for 37 years.
He was an avid reader and Red Sox fan who also enjoyed golf. He was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Navy.
He was the son of the late J. Arthur and Pauline (Sheridan) Sullivan, and is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Armstrong of Beloite, Wis.; his nephew, David Armstrong of Madison, Wis.; his niece, Susan Case of Munich, Germany; three grandnephews; and several cousins including Bob Sullivan of Waltham, Mass.
