YORK – Joe Douglass posted a double double with 23 points and 10 rebounds to help lead Poland to a 71-55 triumph over York in boys’ basketball Tuesday night.

After a tight first half, Poland pulled away in the second half. Douglass also contributed with four assists and five steals in the Knights’ first victory of the season.

Mimi Knowles poured in 20 points, and Tyler Merchant added 12 for Poland. Phil Alibrandi led York (1-1) with 23 points.

Lee Academy 68, Hebron 57

HEBRON – Corey Bingham netted 18 points to lead Lee Academy to a 68-57 victory over Hebron in a boys’ basketball matchup Tuesday.

Sesoo Ikpah chipped in for Lee with 14 points, while Chris Baez tallied 11 and Jim Chaudry added 10.

Hebron (1-4) was paced by Greg Collarusso with a game-high 19 points, while Charles Hinkle added 17. Lee held a five-point advantage at the half and never trailed.

Erskine 61, Oxford Hills 51

SOUTH CHINA – Jay Dunn netted a game-high 21 points and hauled down 11 rebounds as Erskine cruised to a 61-51 victory over Oxford Hills in boys’ basketball action.

Erskine jumped out to 35-18 halftime and never looked back. Jack Garrity also added 16 points for the Eagles (1-1). Brandon Moffett paced the Vikings (0-2) with 13 points while Ethan Sutton contributed with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Maranacook 97, Oak Hill 55

READFIELD – Conrad Gilman poured in 18 points to pace Maranacook to a 97-55 rout over Oak Hill in a KVAC boys’ matchup Tuesday.

Will Bardaglio chipped in for the Black Bears (2-0) with 17 points, while Ryan Martin tallied 14 and Devin Gerrity added 12.

The Raiders (0-2) were paced by Bronson Drury with an impressive 15-point effort, while Ethan Guerrette added 10. Maranacook held a huge 53-18 advantage at the half and cruised home to an easy victory.

Richmond 75, Buckfield 47

BUCKFIELD – Ten different players hit the scoring column for Richmond as the Bobcats cruised to a 75-47 victory over Buckfield in boys’ basketball.

Marc Zaharachuk led the Bobcats (2-0) with 17 points, while Sam Carter and Dustin Clifford each poured in 15 and 13 points, respectively. Jamie Henderson led Buckfield (1-1) with 17 points, and Cy Wilkinson added a dozen in the loss.

Leavitt 71, Morse 49

TURNER – Senior Cameron Angell scored 18 of his game-high 27 points in the first half to pace Leavitt to a 71-49 victory in boys’ action.

Leavitt jumped out to a 40-24 halftime lead behind Angell. Tyler Millett assisted with 15 points, and Chris Cosby led the Hornets (2-0) with 12 rebounds. Ryan Cheney led Morse (0-2) with 13 points.

Mt. Ararat 62, Lewiston 39

LEWISTON – Sean Dostie dominated on the court with a game-high 29 points as Mt. Ararat posted a 62-39 win over Lewiston in boys’ basketball Tuesday.

The Lewiston effort was led by Abdi Abdi with 11 points and Keenan White with seven.
