GORHAM – Charlie O’Neill and Josh Daniels scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, as the University of Southern Maine defeated the University of New England 83-51 in mens’ basketball Tuesday evening. Isaac Stickney downed 12 points and had 12 boards for UNE.
UMA 79, NMC 66
PRESQUE ISLE – Deon Cheers netted a game-high 24 points to pace the University of Maine at Augusta to a 79-66 rout over Northern Maine College in men’s basketball action Tuesday.
Dan Duplissie chipped in for UMA (4-6) with 12 points, while Jon Hill added 10.
Women’s basketball
USM 77, UNE 55
GORHAM – Ashley Marble poured in a game-high 22 points as the University of Southern Maine defeated the University of New England 77-55 in a women’s basketball Tuesday.
Dawn Ross added 13 points, while Stacey Kent chipped in with 12 points and a game-high eight boards for the Huskies (7-1).
Alli Gamache paved the way for UNE (3-4) with 16 points.
