NORWAY – Local adventurer and retired entrepreneur Patricia (Pat) Gott has just released her second book. “Metamorphosis, My Journey of Growth and Change” is her personal biography.

The book begins with Gott’s childhood growing up in Strong.

She graduated from Becker College in Massachusetts, worked for the CIA and married in Virginia.

Returning to Maine, Gott worked as office manager for CN Brown Co. and comptroller for Burlington Homes before she started her own roller-skating business. Gott owned and managed Motion 26 Roller Rink in Oxford for 24 years before retiring in 2005.

There are more than 20 pages of photos. As a photographer, she took most of them herself. The pictures aid in telling the story of her travels and horseback treks in four continents and 47 states across America. Some people talk of doing things; Gott does them.

Her previous book, “Volunteer to Empower,” recounts her experience as a volunteer in Tanzania, Africa. She is working on her third book.

Gott’s books are available online at www.progottbooks.net or calling 743-2628.
