Josh Ward of Lisbon Falls Boy Scout Troop 109 completed his Eagle Scout project on Nov. 19. Ward, with the help of fellow Scouts, Ward created a safe sitting area at the Lisbon High School tennis courts. The area was elevated with mulch and pressure-treated fence posts. The group buried cut telephone poles into the ground and placed pressure-treated planks across the tops to make the benches. The area includes four benches and a crushed rock walkway. Ward, 15, worked on his project for six months. After a day’s work, Josh Sheehan, Lucas Smith and Ward take a rest.
