NORWAY – Poet and poetry anthologist Paul B. Janeczko of Hebron recently spent an afternoon at the Norway Memorial Library, working with 15 young writers. After introducing the students to a wide variety of poetic forms and reading several poems, Janeczko helped them create their own rhyming poems.

In a follow-up writing session, students created a collaborative poem and wrote their own free verse.

The library will host a series of poetry-writing workshops in April for students in grades three to six. The workshops will culminate in a poetry reading that will be open to the public.
