PORTLAND (AP) – Al Montoya notched his second shutout of the season and Ryan Callahan added to his team-leading scoring total as the Hartford Wolf Pack beat the Portland Pirates 2-0 on Sunday night.

The Pirates (17-11-1-4) dropped their fourth straight. Portland turnovers led to both Hartford goals in the second period.

After a scoreless first period, Nigel Dawes intercepted the puck in Portland’s zone and passed it to Brad Isbister, who sent the Wolf Pack (16-16-2-0) ahead at 7:34 of the second.

Hartford made it 2-0 when Callahan stole the puck behind his own blue line and streaked down the ice alone to net his 21st goal – and 32nd point – of the season at 12:57.

Montoya stopped 28 shots. Portland goalie Dov Grumet-Morris had 36 saves in the loss.
