READFIELD – Maranacook Area Youth Hockey Pee Wees ran their record to 8-4-2 during the weekend by sweeping a pair of games.

Jason Stevenson and Ian Palmer each tallied a goal as Maranacook nipped Auburn 2-1 Saturday at Ingersoll Arena. Tony McIver, Sam Bryant and Zach Bessette earned assists. Adam Healy scored for Auburn.

Sunday, Maranacook skated past Waterville 6-1 at Kents Hill. Sam Bryant and Kilton Webb both netted 2 goals. Tom Pietroski and Stevenson also lit the lamp. Credited with assists were Pietroski (2), Stevenson (2), Chris Stanley and Alex Ingram. Camden Despres potted the lone Waterville goal. River Mullen was the winning goalie each game. Ben Weeks tended net for Waterville.

After 14 games, Palmer leads Maranacook with 10 goals. Bryant is next with 7, followed by Stanley with 6. Pietroski has 6 assists, followed by Stanley with 5 and Stevenson and Bryant with 4 each.

Devil girls win

AUBURN – The Lewiston High School girls hockey team ran its record to 6-1 Friday with a 3-0 victory over Scarborough at Ingersoll Arena. Mariah Conway, Jordann Bessey and Michelle Rancourt each scored a goal. Alex Burpee and Emilie Cloutier drew assists. Micaela Roy goaled the shutout for Coach Ron Dumont.
