LEWISTON – Nancy Lucille Tyler Elder, 72, died on Dec. 22, at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Oct. 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Ruth Tyler Mayle and Woodrow Williams.
Before her retirement in 1985, she worked at Lovelette Nursing Home in Auburn. She moved to the Auburn area in 1971.
She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Tapley of Wheeling, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Shauna Greeley of England, Ben Burns of Las Vegas and Robin Greeley Jr. of Wheeling, W.Va.; three great-granddaughters; two brothers, Nelson Mayle of Clarksburg, W.Va. and Delaine Mayle of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Rosemary Croston of Canton, Ohio and Barbara Wilson of Philippi, W.Va.; eight nieces; seven nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and David; and a sister, Linda Buttons Mayle.
