FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce has announced plans to offer its members and communities an opportunity to showcase their businesses, history and landscape in a premier publication to be available for distribution by Memorial Day.

The annual publication, formerly known as the “Visitors’ Guide,” is being redesigned into a larger, full color publication to showcase Franklin County to natives and visitors alike.

The chamber is requesting digital photos, stories, history, things to do and see, free or fee items, tours, recreational opportunities and other items that may be of interest in the area from those who live here and know the area well.

All items submitted will be considered for inclusion and photo credits will be given. People may also submit annual event information (name of event, dates, brief summary) to be included in the calendar of events section.

Member restaurants are invited to put together photos of their dining areas, food items, staff and articles to highlight what they have to offer.

The cover photo will be chosen from all entries and unveiled at the monthly Chamber Business After Hours in May, hosted by Wiles Funeral Homes and United Way of the Tri-Valley Area.

The chamber distributes 10,000 of the guides each year to member businesses, other chambers, town offices in Franklin County, visitors’ centers and across the United States as requested from individuals through the chamber’s Web site, www.franklincountychamberofcommerce.org.

For additional information, deadlines or details on the guide, membership or advertising opportunities, contact Lorna Nichols, executive director, at 778-4215 or e-mail info@fwcoc.org.
