Church service
PARIS – Shirley S. Miller will be the worship leader at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., Paris, at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14.
The music will be under the direction of Forest Perkins, church organist. Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. Child care is provided. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall.
Women to meet
PARIS – The Christian Women United will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the First Congregational Church. A luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Rebecca Lily, talking about work she did in New Orleans after the destruction of Katrina. Anyone who may not have been contacted but would like a reservation may call Pearl Anderson at 743-5724.
Series speaker
BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Land Trust will present the second of its local Knowledge series programs at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jay, 17, in Trustee’s Auditorium, McLaughlin Science Center, Gould Academy campus. The speaker will be Bill Yeo, formerly of Bethel, who will take the audience on “A Trip Up Everest.”
