READFIELD – Ryan Martin lit things up Friday with a 39-point effort to lead Maranacook over Medomak Valley 88-69 in a KVAC Class B showdown.

Martin keyed a 31-point first quarter to give the Black Bears (10-0) an early lead. Will Bardaglio added three 3-pointers and 15 total points in the victory.

Zach Durkee led Medomak with 25 points, and Colin O’Donnell added 10 for the visiting Panthers (6-5).

Buckfield 61, Forest Hills 47

BUCKFIELD – Andrew Litchfield scored 20 points and the Bucks’ pressure defense forced 23 turnovers as Buckfield downed Forest Hills 61-47 in EWC boys’ basketball.

Zach Cowette added 17 points for the Bucks (3-4), and point guard Jamie Henderson had 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.

Justin Felker had 16 points to lead the Tigers (5-4), including three 3-pointers.

Leavitt 73, Lewiston 67

TURNER – Cameron Angell notched a triple-double, scoring 20 points to go with 11 rebounds and 10 assists, as Leavitt outlasted Lewiston 73-67 in KVAC basketball.

Tyler Millett added 22 points and eight boards for the Hornets (5-4), and Eric Berry chipped in with 19 points, including 3-for-4 shooting from the free-throw line late in the game to ice the win.

Jarrid Palmer poured in 31 points to lead the Blue Devils (2-8), and Abdinassar Abdi added 14 points.

Rangeley 66, Vinalhaven 40

RANGELEY – Quinn Philbrick drained a pair of 3-pointers and led all players with 17 points to pace the Rangeley Lakers to a 66-40 victory over Vinalhaven in boys’ basketball action Friday.

David Raymond added 14 points for the Lakers (4-5), and David Jensen chipped in with 10.

Nathan Hopkins led the Vikings (1-7) with 15 points.
