FARMINGTON – Two New Vineyard men pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges Friday at Franklin County Superior Court.

Joshua P. Allen, 22, and Harley Witherell, 23, both of 654 New Vineyard Road, were arrested in October after officers from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Farmington Police Department executed a search warrant there.

Drugs valued at more than $2,000 were seized during the raid, including prescription pills and drying marijuana, officer Ed Hastings said.

Allen pleaded not guilty Friday to one count of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, one count of unlawful possession of Oxycodone, one count of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violating conditions of release and criminal forfeiture of property.

Witherell pleaded not guilty to one charge of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and a charge of criminal forfeiture of property.
