WEST PARIS – Fred and Beryl (Ellingwood) Oja of West Paris, observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 28.
They are alumni of West Paris High School, Mrs. Oja graduating in 1945 and Mr. Oja graduating in 1943. They were married on Nov. 28, 1946 and have seven children, four sons and three daughters. They are Joel and Lorraine of East Sumner, Jeffrey of Oxford, Jerry of Brocton, Mass., Jackson of Salem, N.H., Gail of North Andover, Mass., Beth Cantwell of Billerica, Mass., and Julie of Dallas, Pa. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
They are members of the North Paris Federated Church and the West Paris Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Oja has lived on the same piece of land for all but four years of her life.
