FARMINGTON – The Mollyockett Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Aardvark Outfitters when Dave Boucher, fisheries biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries, will discuss “Recent Fishery Projects in Maine’s Rangeley Lakes Region.”
The talk will begin with an overview of the Rangeley Lakes administrative region, followed by a brief description of several fishery research and management projects underway in western Maine.
They include the Rapid River and C Pond projects, the Magalloway River radio-telemetry study, stream restorations, a trout regulations study, Spencer Lake and local hatchery fish initiatives. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of probable upcoming projects and a question-and-answer session.
