KENTS HILL – The Maranacook Area Youth Hockey Pee Wee team split a pair of games during the weekend.
Saturday at Rockport, Maranacook suffered a 4-1 loss to Maine Coast. Alex Ingram tallied the lone goal for the visitors, assisted by Tony McIvor and Tom Pietroski. Matt Hawkins scored 2 goals for Maine Coast. Isaac Filderman and Stephen Hand netted the others. Receiving assists were Kyle Ruger (2), Henry Owen (2), Filderman and Even Neilsan. Reny Leone was the winning goalie.
Maranacook blanked Mid Coast 7-0 Sunday at Kents Hill. Lighting the lamp were Ian Palmer, Chris Stanley, Jason Stevenson, Ingram, Tyler Stockford, Pietroski and Tyler Lang. Credited with assists were Stevenson (2), Kilton Webb (2), Pietroski, Stockford and Stanley. River Mullen goaled both games for Maranacook now 9-7-2. Eric Liddy tended net for Mid Coast.
