Oxford Hills handed Farmington its first setback of the season Sunday in the Western Maine Youth Basketball League (Grades 5-6). Quinn Newton scored 10 points and Kenny Lynch and Ryan Godin added 8 each as OH beat Farmington 44-37. Zach Kendall led Farmington with 13 points. Jordan Whitney added 10.

Lewiston Rec vaulted into a tie for first place with a 61-19 win over Wilton Rec. Donny Aggossou sparked Lewiston with 17 points. Steven Patrie was right behind with 16. Charlie Martin collected 6 for Wilton. Brady Jackson added 4.

Mountain Valley is also tied for the sunberth after trimming North Franklin 70-24. Jacob Theriault netted 14 for MV. Ryan Nichols and Dylan Akers added 12 each to the well-balanced attack. Calum Dixon led Franklin with 10. Colby Wheaton was next with 7.

David Hersom and Josh Bunker each registered 6 points and Levi Morin chipped in with 5 as Turner defeated AYS 36-22. Kyle Souther paced AYS with 7 points. Nate Hamblin and Hunter Kilgore added 4 each.

Auburn Rec turned back Lisbon Rec 40-14 as Elijah Moreshead and Caleb Spruill both netted 7. Drew Baker added 5. Mason Haley paced Lisbon with 7. Sam Coombs added 5.

TURNER – Three teams are now tied for first place in the Leavitt Men’s Basketball League.

In Sunday’s action, Run N’ Gun ran its record to 5-1 with a victory over Fitness World. Jon Wallingford (27) and Josh Berard (26) sparked the winners. Chris Williamson netted 25 for Fitness.

Wentworth Woodworking is also 5-1 after rolling past Ranor 104-55. Robie Wentworth poured in 34 points for the Woodworkers. Mike Hathaway led Ranor with 20.

Liberty Mutual is also tied for first after registering a victory over Lloyd’s Land. Scott Bessey paced Liberty with 24 points. Jerod Verrill of Lloyd’s led all scorers with 33.

St. Hilaire Contractors entered the win column for the first time with a 108-77 triumph over Shooters. Fred Diligent scored 31 for the winners and Justin Perrron 31 for the losers.
