Dear Sun Spots: You have covered so much to find information on so many requests. I would like to know if you could please help me. I am looking for any information on Briggs Cemetery on Upper Turner Street in Auburn, next to Gracelawn Cemetery. I would like to know the following:

How old is this cemetery? Who is it named after?

How many veterans are buried there, names if possible? Any relatives now living that I could make contact with?

Any other stories of this cemetery?

Please contact me at 784-0656. Again, I would thank Sun Spots for the wonderful job you are doing for the state of Maine community. – Edith Lemieu, Lewiston.

Answer:
In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots is sure you have clipped the Jan. 8 article on your grandson’s Boy Scout project and the cemetery. You and others interested in this cemetery might also consider contacting the Maine Old Cemetery Association at MOCA, P.O. Box 641, Augusta, ME 04332-0641 to see if they might be able to assist you. Membership in the Maine Old Cemetery Association is open to the public for a $5 per year, or $20 for five years, with lifetime membership available for $100. A quarterly newsletter is mailed to members. Questions regarding MOCA “look-ups,” volunteering, new cemeteries or those being neglected, speakers, membership, or any matter of interest, may wish to contact: Cheryl Patten, president, R.R. #1, Box 2980, Smithfield, ME 04978, 634-2156; or Roland Jordan, treasurer, 42 Hector St., Auburn, ME 04210, 784-3338.

Dear Sun Spots: Being ancient, I’m wondering what a certified rolfer and rolfing are?

Also, might it be possible to reveal some information about Pat Callahan on Channel 6? He’s well dressed, professional, attractive. Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
According to several Web sites, rolfing is described as a system that reshapes the body’s myofascial structure by applying pressure and energy, and freeing the body from the effects of physical and emotional traumas. It is used extensively to treat sports injuries and back pain, but is not designed as a therapy for any particular condition. Rather, it is a systematic approach to overall wellness. It works by counteracting the effects of gravity, which over time pulls the body out of alignment. You might consider checking with one in your area for a more in-depth description.

Regarding your second question, Sun Spots is sure Pat Callaghan will be blushing when he reads your kind comments. According to the www.wcsh6.com Web site and Callaghan’s biography, he began working with the station in December 1979. He is currently co-anchor of WCSH News Center 6 at 5 p.m., 6 and 11 p.m. He became a weekday anchor in 1990. He has written and produced award-winning documentaries on some of Maine’s most important political figures, including Edmund Muskie, George Mitchell, Margaret Chase Smith and Bill Cohen. He grew up in Framingham, Mass., and is married with two children.

Dear Sun Spots: Thanks for all your information.

I am once again asking for help. I need 70 sew-on google eyes, size 10 mm. I have checked several stores but all I’ve found is glue on ones. I do not have a computer and don’t know how to use one, so I can’t check into this. Thanks for any help. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
