LEWISTON – The Bates College women’s hockey team is sponsoring a Rock ‘N’ Skate event on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 7-9 p.m. at Underhill Arena on the Bates campus.
The event, featuring Viva DJ Entertainment of Boston, will include skating, music, a light show and dancing. Entry fee is $5 for adults and $3 for youngsters and students. Participants are asked to bring their own skates.

Soccer clinics begin
WALES – A Girls Youth Soccer Clinic is continuing on Sundays at Oak Hill High School. Eligible are girls in Grades 2-8. The remaining sessions (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) are slated for Jan. 21, 28, and Feb. 4 and 11 at the Oak Hill High School gym.
