DIXFIELD – Abby Fenstermacher hit five 3-pointers on her way to 18 points to lead Dirigo to a 46-40 victory over Telstar.
The Cougars (12-0) jumped out to a 31-9 lead at halftime, but Telstar roared back in the final period with 23 points to make it close.
Megan Russell added eight points, while Katherine Gagne had five points and six rebounds for Dirigo.
Bailey Davis scored 12 of her 18 points in the final quarter for the Rebels. Josie Reiss added 11 points, including seven in the final period.
Mt. Abram 54, Madison 39
SALEM – Kenni Norton scored 22 points and Mt. Abram controlled the paint at both ends of the floor to pick up a 54-39 win over Madison Thursday night in MVC girls’ basketball action.
Brittany York and Janessa Thomas dominated the boards for Mt. Abram (7-5) with 11 points and 12 rebounds and 10 points and 10 rebounds, respectively. Logahn Walker added eight points, five assists and four steals. Margo Russell had 11 points and Brittany Rich added eight for Madison (7-4).
