BETHEL – Bob and Cynthia Moran-Laux, active Rotarians and residents of Bethel, will give a presentation on their recent trip to Vietnam and Cambodia at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, in Gould Academy’s McLaughlin’s Auditorium, Church Street.

The major reason for their trip was the dedication of a library at Hai Lang Township in the Quang Tri Province of Vietnam, established between Rotary clubs and individuals in Rotary International District 7780 and the U.S. Vietnam Veterans. The Laux’s were part of a delegation traveling throughout Vietnam.

While in Vietnam, the two documented their visit with photos of the people and places they experienced on their journey. Their presentation will include visits to Hanoi, Hue, Quang Tri, DaNang, HoChiMinh City (formerly Saigon) and Can Tho, Vietnam, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

While visiting several orphanages, schools and villages, they had an opportunity to share gifts, which were donated by students from Crescent Park School.

Cynthia Moran-Laux is president of the Rotary Club in Bethel. Laux is a past president and is the immediate past district governor of Rotary International District 7780.

The program is being co-sponsored by Western Mountains Senior College and SAD 44 Community Education. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call Joe Arizzi at 824-0080.
