The dates for the State of Maine AAU Basketball Tournament have been established.
The Girls State Tournament is set for April 22 (if needed) and April 27-29. The Boys State Tournament is scheduled for April 28-29 and May 5-6.

Once again there will be an End of Winter League starting the week of Feb. 12 and running through March, 2 games each evening for school and AAU based teams, 5-9.
The AAU Annual Meeting is set for Sunday, Jan. 28 at Howard Sports Dome in Topsham. The girls’ meeting is slated for 11:00, and the male meeting for 1:00. For directions go to www.howardsports.com and click on the Topsham site. A major area of discussion will be switching the girls’ event to a grade basis (similar to the boys) as opposed to strictly by age.
There will be an open tryout for any player seeking to play on a team (including Maine Hoops teams) at Howard Sports in Saco on Sunday, Feb. 25, the girls from 9-10:30 a.m., and the boys from 10:30 to 12:00. Coaches are invited to attend to look at potential players. For additional information contact Holmes.
