FRYEBURG – The 14th annual silent auction will be on Saturday, March 31, at Fryeburg Fairgrounds. Fryeburg Academy Project Graduation, Class of 2007, will host the project. The committee has been collecting donations for its annual fundraiser.

“Area merchants in past years have donated more than 500 items,” said Jane Dutton, event coordinator. “Gifts are coming in and the community support we have received is overwhelming.”

Dutton said she is expecting more participants than in the past. “Last year we had an overwhelming turnout. Already people are asking me about his year’s auction, so I know they are getting anxious,” she said. Proceeds will benefit the chemical-free trip for the graduating class.

The public is invited to place bids on articles between the hours of 4 and 6:30 p.m. on March 31. The drawing will begin at 6:30. Project Graduation will accept donations up to the week of the auction. Anyone wishing to donate items or wanting more information can contact Dutton at 935-2818, Sue Parmenter at 935-3721 or Rhonda Crecelus at 935-3747.
