NORWAY – Barbara Goodwin, 85, of Norway, died Thursday, Jan. 25, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in South Paris on Aug. 5, 1921, the daughter of Guy and Amy Doble Sturtevant. She attended schools in South Paris and had been employed at A.C. Lawrence, Wilner Wood Products, at the local shoe shop and retired from Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center in 1986, where she had been a certified nurses aid.
She loved knitting and dancing. She married Gardner Goodwin in 1958.
She is survived by her daughter, Muriel Conant of South Paris; two stepsons, Gary Goodwin and Jeff Goodwin; two stepdaughters, Holly Young and Deana Kennison; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Madelyn Curtis of Norway; and a brother, Clifford Sturtevant of Oxford.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1982; and a son, Richard McLaughlin.
