TOPSHAM – Pearl Elizabeth Eveleth Berry Snow, 88, of New Gloucester, died Jan. 23, at Amenity Manor.

She was born in Portland on March 5, 1918, the daughter of George Freeland and Grace Wilson Berry.

She married Frank Eveleth in 1941, and was predeceased in 1974.

She married Harold Snow in 1976, and was predeceased in 1990.

Her working career started early as a housekeeper, a switchboard operator for Pine Tree Telephone and Telegraph, and a housemother at Opportunity Farm for Boys.

From 1962 to 1970, she worked at Cole Farms. She worked as a CNA from 1970 until retiring in the 80s, working for numerous nursing homes in southern Maine, and as a foster grandparent at Memorial School and Pineland in her retirement.

Surviving are three daughters, Ethel McDonough of Brunswick, Grace LaCourse of Waterborough, and Louise Sawyer of South Paris; a half-brother, Everett Berry of Connecticut; a sister, Dorothy Murray of Gardiner; and a half-sister, June Cote of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
