DIXFIELD – Shannon Daley registered a game-high 21 points to lead unbeaten Dirigo to a 62-30 victory over Carrabec, giving Gavin Kane his 400th career coaching victory.

Katie Huchinson added 11 points for the Cougars. Dirigo held a commanding 34-6 lead at half and never looked back. Nikki Kaulback chipped in with eight.

Carrabec was led by Erica French with eight points.

Jay 47, Madison 42

MADISON – Kaylie DeMillo poured in 19 points, 14 of which came in the second half, to spark Jay to a 47-42 triumph over Madison in an MVC matchup Monday evening.

Madison held the 24-16 lead at halftime, but the Tigers fought back, outscoring Madison 31-18 in the second half, thanks in part to DeMillos’ 14 points. Liz Leblanc added nine points, while Hillary Deane chipped in with seven for the Tigers (11-6).

Jessica Hayden downed 15 points, Margo Russell added 10, while Briann Emery chipped in with three points, nine rebounds, and three assists for Madison (13-5).

Lisbon 51, Wiscasset 37

WISCASSET – Lisbon made six of its first seven shots of the second half to pull away from Wiscasset, 51-37.

Renee Moore led Lisbon with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Sam Purcell added 10 points. Kelly Bourgoine dished out 14 assists to go with her six points for Lisbon (8-9).

Marissa Hammond scored eight points to lead Wiscasset (2-15).

Winthrop 39, Mountain Valley 36

RUMFORD – Amanda Garwood scored 13 points as Winthrop knocked off Mountain Valley, 39-36, in MVC girls’ basketball action.

Justine Woodman added 10 points for the Ramblers (8-9). Vanessa Cayer poured in 14 points to lead Mountain Valley (7-10).

Boys’ basketball

Gould 59, Elan 38

AUBURN – Ian Siekman scored a game-high 16 points and hauled down 12 boards to lead unbeaten Gould to a 59-38 victory over Elan in boys’ basketball action Monday evening.

Evan Bruens added 15 points for the Huskies (12-0).

The Buccaneers (9-3) were paced by Lee Gatch and Ryan Panzone with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Brunswick 52, Lewiston 43

BRUNSWICK – Travis O’Dell scored 18 points, including 12 in the deciding second quarter, to lead Brunswick to a 52-43 win over Lewiston in KVAC boys’ basketball action.

Led by O’Dell, the Dragons outscored the Blue Devils, 15-2, in the second quarter to open up a 16-point halftime lead. Dan Scully added nine points and eight rebounds for Brunswick (10-7). Jarrid Palmer scored a game-high 22 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Lewiston (3-14).
